Liberty Park Cultural Landscape Report and Vision Plan

Identified as a priority in the Reimagine Nature Master Plan, the Cultural Landscape Report and Vision Plan are being developed by Salt Lake City's Department of Public Lands. These two documents will guide the preservation and future use of Liberty Park.

Your participation and input is essential to a Cultural Landscape Report and future Vision Plan. It helps identify what matters most, highlight stories and traditions not found in records, guide decisions about preservation and use.

Release Preferred Vision Plan

The Salt Lake City Department of Public Lands will host an open-house event to unveil the Liberty Park Vision Plan. This plan, based on the treatment recommendations from the Cultural Landscape Report and extensive community feedback, will guide park use and improvement to ensure it meets the needs of the community, preserves historic features, and keeps the park vibrant and welcoming for everyone.

The Vision Plan, which will be implemented over the next 20 years, addresses deferred maintenance, repair, and enhancement of park infrastructure and amenities and diverse opportunities for visitors of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds to relax, recreate, gather, and celebrate.

When: Wednesday, May 6, 5-7:00 p.m.

Where: Liberty Park, next to the Rice Pavilion, 600 Harvey Milk Blvd, Salt Lake City
