Salt Lake City Housing and Community Needs

Every year, the Housing Stability Division asks for your ideas on how to use federal funds. These funds help improve housing and neighborhood services so communities can be safer, healthier, and more affordable.

Your feedback helps the City learn what problems matter most in your neighborhood and across the city. This way, we can focus money where it’s needed most.

Federal housing funds can be used to address big challenges like:

  • Rising housing costs
  • Lack of good transportation
  • Limited access to health care and jobs

They can also support important groups, such as:

  • Seniors
  • People with disabilities
  • People experiencing homelessness
  • Families in crisis
  • Individuals living with HIV/AIDS

This project is about helping residents live healthier, more stable lives. It also helps the City plan how to best use funding from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
