While initial segments like 900 South and the flagship block connecting Library Square and Washington Square are already in motion, completing more than five miles of greenway will take time—potentially a decade or more.

- Salt Lake City is in the process of selecting a consultant to lead public engagement and create preliminary designs for the 500 West section of the Green Loop.
- The City Council is considering $3.1 million FY24/25 Capital Improvement Project (CIP) funds to advance the Green Loop vision. Once it has been added to City Council's agenda, an updated will be posted here.
