Community Benefits for Fleet Block Development

The Fleet Block redevelopment is a once-in-a-generation chance to create lasting benefits for nearby neighborhoods.

Salt Lake City is partnering with two development teams to create a vibrant, walkable community that could include mixed-income housing, retail, and service-oriented businesses on the two northern parcels of the Fleet Block.

Through Salt Lake City’s first Community Benefits Agreement (CBA), the City, local neighborhood representatives, and future developers will come together to ensure community priorities are reflected in the project.

Public Engagement and Survey

March 11, 2026 - March 31, 2026

This is a listening and learning phase of the process. Two community workshops will be held in March 2026 to discuss community ideas to bring into the Community Benefits Agreement process. Your participation helps guide future decisions and ensures the Fleet Block reflects shared community values.

The public engagement process will focus on the following topic areas for the two northern development sites:

  • Arts and Culture
  • Community Commercial
  • Community Services
  • Housing Opportunity
  • Tenant Stability
  • Public Amenities
  • Environmental Sustainability
  • Transportation Choice

If you are unable to attend in person, please still take the survey, as that feedback will be considered alongside any in-person workshop participation.
