Building the Village
Salt Lake City Planning Division’s Child-Friendly City Initiative
Salt Lake City Planning wants to make the city a better place for families with children. Our goal is to help households with kids stay in Salt Lake City and attract more families to move here.
We are researching what makes a city work well for children. That includes housing types, street design, parks, and green spaces. Each of these elements shapes how children and their caregivers experience the city. Well-designed neighborhoods help people of all ages feel safe, healthy, happy, and independent.
Your feedback matters. Tell us what already makes Salt Lake City a great place to raise kids and what needs to change. Your ideas will shape our recommendations for future planning projects.
