Livable Streets Traffic Calming Program

Salt Lake City is working with residents to make neighborhood streets safer.

The City has identified and prioritized 113 zones based on safety needs, including crash history, speeding, and access to community resources. With so many zones and limited resources, the program addresses a few at a time.

How to participate

Let us know how we can improve traffic safety in your neighborhood. Your input helps us understand street safety issues in your area and inform your neighborhood's traffic calming plan.

  • Active Zones: See which zones we are working on below. For active zones, you can share your ideas in a variety of ways to help shape current traffic calming improvements in your neighborhood. Follow the individual zone projects to get updates on in-person engagement opportunities, plans and construction.
  • Upcoming Zones: If your zone is not listed right now, you can still share concerns or ideas using the "Report Traffic Safety Issues" button.
